American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She began her career with support roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). In the FX series Dirt the actress played Willa McPherson in the role of a reporter. She also appeared in the role of a supporting character on the short-lived show The Ex List. She starred as a young Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and as Kaylee in the season's third. She played Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead, and Sophie on the NBC series This Is Us. She is a voice actor in the show Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019she has been appearing in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien, Connecticut until she was 10 years old at which point her mom and she moved to California [1The couple lived there for a year before finally arriving in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was first interested in singing, acting, and photography around the age of 13. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was just 15 years old to pursue an acting career.
