Bashar Barakah (July 19, 1999 - Feb. 19 20th, 2020) was professionally known as Pop Smoke was an American rapper. Victor Victor Worldwide & Republic Records were both his labels. Pop Smoke gained acclaim for his Brooklyn drill style after working with UK drill producer 808Melo Axl Beats, Yoz Beatz and 808Melo Axl Beats. Welcome to the Party was the single that he released from the mixtape he released as his debut Meet the Woo, which was released in July of 2019. The remixes to Welcome to the Party were done in August by American rapper Nicki Minaj as well as British musician Skepta. Pop Smoke dropped his smash song Welcome to the Party in April of the year 2019. This song was the lead track on the mixtape he released his debut album Meet the Woo. The song was remixed in two different versions, one with Nicki Minaj on it and another with Skepta. Both were released on August 19, 2019. It was noted due to its use of UK drill production, which is later found throughout his discography. This is due to collaborations with British 808Melo, a producer from the UK. Mpr Flexin is another single that is well-known. The duo also collaborated on several other smash singles in the wake of the enormous commercial success that was Welcome to the Party. These include: War which features Lil Tjay, and 100k in a coupe, featuring Calboy. Gatti was a collaboration that he had with JackBoys, Travis Scott in December of 2019, and is the last song on the album.
